The Opportunity

The Financial Planning Specialist plays a key role within the firm’s planning function, partnering closely with advisors to deliver high-quality, client-ready financial plans and maintain consistency across the firm’s planning process.

This is a hands-on role with firmwide influence. You’ll be deeply involved in complex scenario modeling, planning deliverables, and supporting the Financial Planning Committee, with a clear path to expand responsibility and leadership over time.

This role is well-suited for a planner who wants to step up in scope and impact without being pushed prematurely into people management or sales.

  • Model planning scenarios including retirement, tax analysis, and estate planning considerations
  • Prepare customized, client-facing planning deliverables and analyses
  • Partner with advisors to support client meetings and planning presentations
  • Support and participate in Financial Planning Committee meetings and follow-ups
  • Help ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality across planning deliverables firmwide

  • Highly detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple planning cases
  • Collaborative team player who values process, quality, and consistency
  • Familiarity with Schwab custodial environments is a plus

Compensation & Growth Path

  • Base Salary: $100,000 – $125,000
  • Target Total Compensation: $115,000 – $140,000 (base + incentive)

This role is intentionally designed with long-term upside. With strong performance, it can evolve into a Director of Financial Planning position over time.
